PIGGERY PROJECT FOR THE TEAM « EPERVIERS-JUNIORS FC »
- CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION
In the context of the formation of the children at different points: football, civic education, respect and courtesy, physical condition, we aim to a financial support by the breeding of pigs so as to be able to meet the financial needs of the team. We may not always be waiting for those who come to help us. We would like to see pigs breeding as capital resources for the team.
- GENERAL OBJECTIF
The objective of this project, once funded, is to facilitate the purchase of products and materials for direct use for training and competitions.
- NEEDS FOR THE PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT
We wish to purchase: 5 adult pigs, 60 shelves for the construction of buildings, 1200 tiles, 5 doors, 5 kg nails, 12 bags of food, each of which weigh 50 kg; there is also a need for care in case of illness.
- CONTRIBUTION OF THE CHILDREN
The children will contribute in providing herbs, water and straw for the pigs.
- LOCATION AND PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT
The trainer of the team "EPERVIERS-JUNIORS FC " has promised to make available a place at his own home, this is in the center of Mbogora. The trainer will also do the follow-up of the pigs.

General status:
The sanitary situation for the breeding of pigs is good and their multiplication is progressing well. However, in the current dry season, there are many diseases of pigs
Progress since last status report:
The progress is a reality: one of the 4 pigs has 10 piglets, 1 died in the first quarter 2013, 4 of the pigs were distributed to the players and the other 5 were sold. In the month June 2013 another pig had 3 little piglets. One of the 3 unfortunately died. If everything goes well there will be other piglets in the month of September and the other players will also receive a pig. Everything will depend on the number of piglets.
Financial status:
We have sold 5 pigs for the sum of 72 000 BuF. This amount has helped us to buy 217 kg food.
For the moment we have no more money in cash.
Problems/concerns:
We have a problem for the months July and August 2013 to provide sufficient food for the pigs, the 217 kg is only sufficient for the month of June. To avoid the animals to die of hunger we do appeal to the remainder of the budget (84,300 BuF) of the equipment of the football team to buy food for the pigs for the months of July and August. Pending that the project breeding of pigs can operate fully independently, we ask Vleugels van Hoop if it is possible to help us.

Follow-up of the action

General status:
The team is doing well. Only, the time of the training is insufficient due to the fact that the school boys of primary education have double holiday. We have only one training per week.
Progress since last status report:
For the moment the players control their position on the field. They take their place in the field and understand the way of communicating on the grounds. We have played a friendly match against the pupils of Mbogora II, score (2-0) for our team.
Financial status: In cash : 84 300 BuF
Problems/concerns
We have a player, Cédric, who is hospitalized in the hospital Prince Regent Charles (HPRC) in Bujumbura. His health improves, he is waiting for the operation of his leg.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed financially to save the life of this child, also the members of the team 'EPERVIERS JUNIOR'.
Cédric is still in the care centre, he needs help and care .
